Time to share the Vintage

I love junking like any other junkaholic.  I find it therapeutic to say the least.  I am sharing my love for the lovely by adding some photos here of the depression glass ware that I have found recently.  For my daughter's 16th birthday I gave her a set of 5 cups and saucers in pink depression ware.  So beautiful.

Aren't they just gorgeous?

Mocha Flavored Yogourt? **DO NOT try this at home** (unless you're prepared for something a little twisted)

Well, I brewed up my lactose free homemade yogourt over a 24 hour period.  Just as I was about to seal the lid for incubation, that bratty quirky self came out and grabbed the coffee pot.  Brat then proceeded to pour the coffee into the fermenting skim milk mixture.  What a concept, Mocha Flavoured Yogourt.  I've seen it somewhere I'm sure as surely even I wouldn't have come up with something this twisted.  Remember friends, this is homemade yogourt.
I refrigerated the unappealing colored yogourt and then today had a taste.  Well, with some stevia and a couple of drops of vanilla, the resulting flavour was well, how should I put it?  Tolerable, yes, that's the right word.  I'm sure if I put real sugar in, it would taste better but that would defeat my purpose in making home made yogourt and getting all the probiotics to keep my tummy happy.  I warned you, it is most unappealing looking but yes, tolerable.
Happy Day!!

As Promised, Leather...

Machine embroidered Leather Bracelets

I love slightly quirky things and experimenting on how to make them.  I have made up these professionally machine embroidered bracelets to add to one of my etsy shops.
Let me know what you think.

Blog Hop Happenin' Thursday!!

Embroidering all DAY!

so i've been busy, I've been having too  much fun embroidering one thing after another.  The camera was handy (as usual) so I thought i'd share some of the photos with you.   Here I have my lovely vintage Farm Peppers piece chugging along.  It took 3 thread changes from the beginning and I think I worked on it for 2 days.  I know that sounds ridiculous but the stitch count was almost 70,000 and I just worked on changing threads between trips to the grocery store and running my elderly aunt out for groceries.
To the right is the finished product.  Isn't it just beautiful?

Next I have the lovely shopping bag I made with quilting patterns.  It turned out great and I can put it on the etsy market this week.
Well, tomorrow I will show off some of the leather bracelets I made up.  I should really be spending time on the baby stuff for this weekend's Honeybee Festival at the Famous Honeybee Centre in beautiful Surrey, B.C.  I will have to take some pics of the organic cotton bibs I made up also, so stay tuned for that.

Wedding Photography

Well, so far things are going quite smoothly with this blogging thing. I haven't done much on it yet and I am learning more things and finding great people. I thought today I would share a couple of wedding photos from the first wedding shoot I completed on July 3. It was great working with this couple and we were blessed with a gorgeous day.
Well, today is my introduction to blogging. I would love to share some of my photography and other projects that can be found internationally online for sale.
